Just curious what mouse everyone is maining? Do you have a separate one for gaming vs. productivity?
I have a problem and buy/collect gaming mice (list below).
For gaming, my most recent main was the Roccat Kone Pro Air, but I have just gone back to the Zowie S1. I always end up back to this mouse cause the shape and size just fit my hand perfectly, so I don’t know why I continue buying more.
For productivity/work, I use my Deathadder V2 wireless.
Mice I’ve had within the past 3 years or so:
Logitech G502, Finalmouse Air58, Finalmouse Ultralight 2, Zowie S1, Model O, Model D, Model O wireless, Deathadder, Deathadder mini, Deathadder V2 wireless, Viper, Viper Mini, Xtfy M4, Endgame XM1, Pwnage Ultra Custom Symmetrial wireless, Roccat Kone Pro Air
Used the model o- for a WHILE but switched to the viper ultimate because it was so nice to have that charging dock. Been using the starlight-12 ever since it came and haven’t looked back. Hopefully I will get one from their new drop in November I can’t see a mouse topping this for a while at lease for me.
Nice. The Statlight 12 looks sick. I’m just not too fond of the aesthetic personally. Time will tell how long it takes for another company to come out with a metal gaming mouse. Love 'em or hate 'em, Finalmouse nudges the industry forward. Competition breeds innovation.
ya not a huge fan of the aesthetic but i love red so i bought it…looking forward to the next drop tho if it looks anything like the old phantom it should be sick. Battery life is crazy i think i went almost 5 weeks without charging and that was out of the box and i play a couple hours a day most days. Definitely impressed with it so far!
I use a Glorious Model D for gaming and at work I use a Logitech something or other, I like how the mouse wheel clicks left and right on that Logitech but that is the only thing I like about it. I should probably take my Model O into the office.
Im currently maining a Logitech G Pro wireless as my gaming mouse and a Glorious model O- as my main productivity mouse.
The Logitech G Pro shape and size fit my hands in a way that no other mouse has. I have to say, I really do not like Logitech products, because I feel like they price gouge the consumer for the sake of having the name brand.
Over the last year, I have gone through: Logitech G Pro wireless, Glorious model O/O-, Glorious Model D/D-, Gwolves Hati-M, Gwolves Hati-S, Razer Viper Mini, Razer Basilisk V2, Razer Deathadder Elite, Razer Naga Trinity, Steel Series Aerox 3, Steel Series Rival 5, Cooler Master MM720, and the Xtrfy M42.
I havent regretted any of the purchases except the Xtrfy M42. The mouse shape felt really good in hand, but the device started having technical issues after about an hour. Despite 30+ days of sending emails and attempting to get into contact with the Xtrfy customer support team, I gave up. I still have the mouse sitting here, and its a constant reminder to not purchase any products from that particular company. Im sure they make quality products, but the fact they ghosted with my money and wouldnt help correct an issue is a really scummy business practice that I cant forgive.
@8-Bit_Bootcamp Nice. I almost bought the G Pro Superlight instead of the Roccat Kone Pro Air, but I was intrigued by Kone’s ergo design. I actually had issues with my Xtrfy M4 when I bought it. I had to exchange it for another one. My experience with their customer service wasn’t nearly as bad as yours though. I regret buying it. Won’t be getting another Xtrfy mouse. Also, regret the Finalmouse Ultralight 2. It was a huge disappointment for me. Ah well, live and learn.
How was your experience with the Aerox 3? I’m a big fan of that shape. Very close to the XM1. I held back from looking at the Aerox due to the disappointing reviews it received.
I have 2 aerox 3’s and neither of them could connect to my pc. Only mouse Or anything else for that matter that I could not get to connect to my computer so I will never know . Wasn’t a fan of the feet tho
I really liked the Aerox 3. The shape felt really good and the MB1/2 clicks were very crisp. I have heard some people say that the M1/2 buttons have some pre travel, but that was not the case on my copy.
One thing about the Aerox 3 that was very unique was the matte coating on the entire mouse. The texture was very nice and I didnt feel like it needed grip tape.
If you decide to give it a shot, I will say you should go with the wireless version. A key reason I didnt use the Aerox 3 for long was the cable. I will also mention that the thumb buttons were very narrow and difficult for me to use in games that required rapid button execution.
Got the G-Pro wireless superlight a couple of weeks ago, and it’s so good. Instantly became my main. No muss or fuss, just plug it in and go. The main thing is the weight, over the past few years light nice have spoiled me. Before that I swapped between model o and a g-wolves skoll, both great mice as well.
I use a wireless Razer Naga Pro for MMOs and I like it but the thing is a brick lol.
Model O-. I don’t have large hands and I use a 1-3-1 fingertip grip (like a palm grip, but my palm doesn’t always touch the mouse). The Model O- is great for this grip style.
I used the Logitech g502 for 7 years up until a couple of days ago when I made the switch to the MOW. Really love is so far and don’t have to deal with a cable. But the g502 will always be my favorite of all time!
@8-Bit_Bootcamp . I didn’t appreciate it until I moved on. I would love if they made a lighter version never realized how much I missed scroll wheel tilt and unlock the scroll wheel until no mouse I’ve used since has those features
Mine is the Razer Viper Ultimate. But when the Model D Wireless drops, that’ll be the new bae. And eventually, Model D- Wireless will be the ultimate one.
The Viper Ultimate was just me going for a wireless mouse on a whim. After doing so, I definitely know, no wires is for me. But I prefer ergo shaped mice so Model D Wireless can’t come soon enough honestly.
