Show off your Non GMMK PRO Builds

What are those numpads next to your GMMK Pros?

Hi Leeroy,

The top White Gmmk Pro numpad I’m using is the Skyloong GK21S RGB in e-white.

The Bottom Black Gmmk Pro Numpad is the Idobao Montex

I need them for work, I’m an IT admin so I’m constantly typing in numbers and IP addresses lol.

I wanted to get one but if I remember the shipping is CRAZY almost like 1/3 of the price of the keyboard.

What are the keycaps on the top keyboard?
@tecmo34

Digging that City of Embers Keycap.

They are the standard keycaps that come with the Drop - ALT. They are basically the Drop Skylight Series Keycap set in Slate, with a minor difference in the space bar. The ALT comes with an opaque spacebar and the Slate set comes with a shinethrough spacebar.

Thanks Nobus, I don’t usually like lighter colored sets but that Dawn set is hot, also really like the Dusk set. Also been looking at Susuwatari. I don’t think my wallet can handle all 3 lol. Also shipping to Japan isn’t too nice. I really wanted Gmk stealth, but that’s unobtainable I think. So gonna go with one of the above mentioned 3. If I could find one of them locally that’d be great but yeah…

Thank you for the info! Much appreciated!

You may just want to wait a bit if the sets are still in production and not shipped and then try mechmarket.

Hey Sent,

Thanks for the advice. I’m new to all this, by mechmarket you mean from Reddit? If so I’ll keep popping my nose in to see what’s what.

Hmm just had a look around mechmarket, seems you have to be wary of a lot of scammers…

My other option is to see if any cool DCX sets come out in the future.

If you’re new to shopping for parts, I’ll drop a link for Shop Mech in here. Shop Mech works kind of like a distribution hub for a large number of other sites, and you can see a lot of different vendors inventory. The only down side to the site is, it doesn’t always reflect item availability. So, sometimes you see something and its out of stock.

Might not be a terrible idea to pop on there and look at the keycaps section. You might find something similar to what you are looking for.

If you do decide to buy from someone there (which I have done in the past, it’s not too bad) just make sure you follow the rules they have posted to keep yourself safe. You could also just wait and see if any of the vendors have extras come up for sale (I’m basing this off what I found online which made it seem like the sets haven’t been delivered to people yet). Most vendors end up with extras that they then release for sale once all the groupbuy sets are shipped.

Thanks 8bit, that site is pretty cool, I’ll have a better look around it when I get some time.

Thanks Sent, for the advice about using that Reddit. If by chance I do use it, I’ll be sure to follow the rules they’ve got laid out to prevent against getting scammed.

Cheers!

No Problem Miso, just a heads up though i made a mistake on the susuwatari I will fix it as an edit. They’re very similar but the keycaps I actually have on that Keychron is the Oblotsky set. I have both Susuwatari and the Oblotsky set but the set I have on my keychron is the oblotsky. I try to stay away from the GMK sets considering the insane wait times and production. I love most of their color schemes they come up with but again those group buys and wait times turn me off from it. I look for the in stock sets if anything. but just a heads up if you’re interested in the Oblotsky it was from Drop. ill leave the link below.

Moved from my Sofle RGB (without RGB) to a gorgeous Lily58L, decided that Sofle’s thumb cluster was too far out for me and I was willing to drop a key per half for my thumbs’ comfort, absolutely loving it :blue_heart::purple_heart: kept the Aqua Kings and NP Crayons.
