I’ve had my Model I for about 2 years now. I like the mouse itself, it is just what I wanted. Couple days ago I noticed there was GloriousCore 2.0 and so I downloaded and installed that. So far so good BUT when I was running it for the first time it told me right away that there is a new update and so I downloaded that too. Now I have noticed that even if I download and install the “update” it is still finding "a new update. So I checked what happens in the folder where the download goes and found out that it is downloading the one and the same “update” every fucking time so I think that this software is broken. Also It doesn’t do anything if I try to update firmware. So my conclusion is that this piece of software is going to trashcan on my part, end of story.
I understand your frustration @Tumppu. CORE 2.0 has not had the smoothest launch and definitely has some kinks that need to get worked out. As frustrating as it is to encounter these issues, I do want to remind you that this is a shared community space. Please refrain from using unnecessary harsh language while on the forum.
this isn’t software related but do you know how to fix the model 2 O from randomly pausing and stuttering
Welcome to the community, @ThomasC!
I personally have the Model O 2 Pro 4k/8k. If you are dealing with pausing and stuttering I would recommend this thread as it helped resolve the issue for a few Model O 2 Pro users. 1k and 4k/8k.
Support is another solution as well, as we here in the forums are just enthusiasts but try to help where we can.
Remain Glorious!
Brand new to glorious here coming over from Logitech and I’m having very mixed feelings so far. I bought the GMMK PRO barebones along with the num pad and finished out the rest of the keyboard and I have no issues with this hardware. I obviously am missing some other buttons that I had on my Logitech board but that’s just gonna take some time to get used to a somewhat new layout.
As for the software, it’s so bad that I’m really debating in my head about returning all of the Glorious hardware and going back to Logitech just for the software and how well it works. The Core software is so very lacking in features and seems to be all but working. Trying to change any of the lighting effects is impossible to do because the software is not intuitive at all. It’s “hey you, click a button and hope this works!” I really don’t like that I have better success changing my lighting using the fn button over the Core software. On Core, I can changing the lighting effect but good luck changing the color of the effect. I barely was able to get my WASD keys to stay one color. I understand that everyone wants to stand out and be original and you guys killed it with the hardware, I love it, but you really need to go back to the drawing board for the Core software and maybe reconsider a redesign and having a product that works better than it looks.
Or, if that is not an option, a very in depth video of how to fully use the Core software would be very helpful as well. Thank you!!!
Thanks for the feedback and thank you for switching over to us.
We have heard so much feedback around CORE 2.0, the good, the bad, and the ugly.
You can expect a fairly big update hitting soon called CORE 2.1 that should address a ton of bugs.
I know that you announced an update, but I figured I should chime in with some issues I’m having since I haven’t seen much mention of this specific issue.
I’m also getting the update issue that people are mentioning, and on top of that, I also get an issue where core 2.0 closes anytime that I plug my GMMK 2 into the computer. I can only run the software with nothing Glorious related connected to the computer. I have tried fresh installs after uninstalling + removing all data folders on the PC like the support page recommends, but still nothing. I also tried different USB ports and running in administrator, to no avail.
What is the exact date?
The bug is months old, not days
Don’t you care about customers who have already purchased? I believe the price of the product includes the cost of managing support for the vendor.
I am very disappointed with this slow bug fix.
Our team is hard at work to fix these issues.
I can not share an exact date, but it is sooner than you think.
Looking forward to sharing this update with you all.
Still having the same issue, and some new ones too, with the 2.1 update.
Can’t remap all keys
Can’t remap ANY key to [HOME]
LED Profiles are not being applied.
Application hung when attempting to update firmware.
Also, application shows “[DEV]” as part of it’s version, did we get a development build?
Sharing with our software team now.
