Show off your Non GMMK PRO Builds

Agreed. Seems more fitting for an office that has some windows, and maybe a couple of plants

Oh yeah no doubt. I have 2 desks in the house since I’m 100% remote for my work. My basement setup is the ‘fun’ one with all kinds of random keebs. The upstairs desk (because sometimes I want a window) is the more classy one where I usually use the clean builds, or that wooden keeb.

Oh, that sounds like a really nice way to incorporate a build like that.

Here is my current non gmmk collection:

My daily driver:
Blade60
Dark tangerine switches
PBT notion

My girlfriend’s daily before her gmmk2:
Stellar65
Lavender switches
NicePBT sugarplum

And then a build I’ve been patiently waiting to finish:
NK65 EE
Tealios switches
GMK Rainy Day (the wait is almost over. I hope)

There’s a couple boards on their way still and their keycaps further out but I agree, the 75% isn’t for me. I did get addicted to the knob so I almost require it from now on.

Custommk evo70 freshly arrived from a group buy. Gateron ink yellow v2 switches.

Yep, Daybreak edition with Cherry silvers. I’ve got a white One 3 Classic on order as well. I’ve since replaced the caps with Aura V2s and a couple of artisan caps for the Escape and Calculator keys. Here it is with my GMMK2 96%:

Just getting ready to run this through it’s paces. Ducky cable and Afterglow caps incoming, and probably Gateron Cap Yellow switches. I’ve always been fond of TKL, but the GMMK2 65 is making me rethink that.

Hey @blackscreen and @TechwithCraw , I moved your posts here as they seem a better fit.

And I need to stop looking at these builds. I only have so many excuses for more keyboard stuff that I can tell my wife!

Build her a keeb!

Those caps! I’ve been trying to convince myself I don’t need them, but they look so good.

I am going to see if I can get her to try my 96%. But she is one of those (gulp) who just uses her laptop keyboard…

Also, the keycaps are super nice. Drop occasionally does a BOGO for these caps. I split it with a buddy of mine. Hard to justify the MT3 at full price.

I’ve posted this build here before, but I recently received my set of Aluvia keycaps and decided to swap out for them from Dracula. I also recently got into Artisans (send help) and so I threw one of the Ghastly keycaps on there as well. For the most part, most fit right out of the box without issue. I did have to tighten up some of the tolerances on a few of the caps and loosen it a bit on others, but overall, not too bad.

Those look wild, almost like they have a metallic sheen to them.

They are aluminum versions of the Olivia set.

Those look really clean on a black frame.
Also, if you’re dipping your toes into the artisans pool, get ready for a lot of sad face moments. Cant tell you how many times I’ve missed a group buy or raffle that I would have loved to get in on.

Yeah, I’ve already eaten the dirt on a few that I wanted in on. But I’m used to it from the failed raffles on keyboards, so I get over it.

My collection is pretty small right now. Two of the Ghastly’s (one light, one dark), Dark Pope, Batonion Nuclear (on the way), some caps from Drop, Gooey Keys Black Gold 20xx and Hecky (on the way) and then Phangkey Fukubo Omega.
