These are my 1st tactile switches. So just trying to get used to them. I’m a linear girl. lol Those are the Arctis Pro Wireless headphones with after market covers and band.

Main keys are Glorious Pandas & the function keys and number pad are Glorious Foxes. Glorious Aura white key caps with standard black caps that come with the GMMK 2 (thinking of updating to the Aura black caps).

I bought a bunch of AKKO switches to try. I think the AKKO ocean blues feel and sound better than the lavender purple. I also tried the AKKO sponge and didn’t like how they felt. The AKKO linears are all amazing so far with the silvers being my favorite. I’ve tried the AKKO box black, silver, and the pink ones in linears.

I wanna try the pink or white ones next. But I bought the hand lubed ones from them directly and took forever for them to get here.

The pink AKKO (Rose Red) have a really nice poppy sound to them. I think it’s pleasant but experience varies depending on the board. Sounds good with tape mod.

yea i had to take the purples out. just felt so weird for me. put my foxes back in until I either lube my silent reds or try some rose reds or maybe the white akkos. i also did want to try the ocean blues but again… if it’s too clicky in our gaming room I might get kicked out by my family lol

I tried to like the Lavender Purple, but just couldn’t do it.
The rose reds might be a little loud (poppy) based on what you’ve said. The AKKO silvers have an almost exact sound as the Foxes, at least when both are lubed. I’ve struggled to find a Tactile switch that isn’t obnoxiously loud in the GMMK 2. The Boba U4t 68g are the best sounding, but also a bit heavier than I want to have in this board. Based on all of my experiments, I’m probably just going to use only Linear switches in the GMMK 2. I suppose silent tactile could work, and I do have silent boba u4t switches, but I’m going to take a break from ‘playing’ on this board for a while.

Are the GPBT keycaps smooth or textured on the top faces? I honestly hate the rough texture of the Glorious ABS keycaps and I’d rather something more smooth. (Unpopular opinion, I know.)
