I have the 2 Wireless and tried couple of time to charge it while my pc is off using different charger with Usb C output and using Usb C / Usb C cable and left it for a while and when i turn on my computer and checked the battery level of my mouse, it was the same it didn’t go up.
i tried with different chager with USB Type-A output and i used Usb A to Usb C cable and nothing changed.
i even used the cable that come with the mouse and left it overnight and the battery level never changed.
the only way is to charge it is to connect it to the computer while is on, which is frustruting because i don’t want to use the mouse while connected to my computer and i don’t want either to let my computer on just to charge a mouse.
to be honest the wiresless mouses are so BAAD and they have plenty of bugs…
Hmmm, I’ve never had a wireless product that charged after I shut my pc off. I would think if the pc were off, it wouldn’t be powering any of the USB ports but maybe someone else can chime in on that.
Hey @tzt007. This is something that is dictated by your motherboard. There generally are settings in the BIOS to allow the USB ports to have power while the computer is off. As every computer is different you will need to do some research on your motherboard to see how to enable power to USB while the computer is off. I hope it’s a super quick search and adjustment.
If you don’t have comfort in this area I’m sure one of us (me included) would be willing to help you through the process.
Keep us posted and I hope this helps with your issue!
Idk if you have tried this but I read a lot of people saying the mouse needs to be switched to “on” to charge it. When u tried charging it was it switched to off by any chance?
Am having this same issue myself. I can plug anything (phone, watch, other mice) into the USB charge cord when my PC is off and they will all charge…but the mouse will not. No matter what position the switch is in…no charge. The PC has to be fully on to charge, like the receiver dongle has to be active for the mouse to charge…makes no sense at all.
Using an external USB wall wart or even a powered USB hub will also not charge the mouse…UNTIL the PC is turned on and and the mouse starts communicating with the receiver dongle…it then will charge.
Only solution I am seeing is to purchase a different mouse from another vendor…sad because I really like my other Glorious products and this mouse. A lack of response/support is disappointing. (yes I have contacted support and the answer was to just turn my PC on basically)
