How to Fix Mb4 of back sidebutton on Wireless Model O

I bought my Model O in 2022 like mid June and I use my sidebuttons a lot to play games but now somehow on this day it just didn’t want to work anymore, so does anyone have thoughts on how I can fix my MB4?

Hi there @SamB

Sorry to hear your side button stopped working—it can definitely be frustrating when a key you rely on suddenly dies on you.

I don’t know if the recent CORE 2 update would have caused any issues, but I would double check your software version. Double check the key mapping within the software as well, I’ve had keys unbind a few times in the past.

Double check that you don’t have anything stuck behind the button. If you have compressed air or a small clean brush, attempt to clean out the area around the thumb button.

If neither of these help, the side switch itself may have worn out or failed. Since you purchased it in mid-2022, it might still be within the 2-year warranty (depending on your region). I’d recommend reaching out to Glorious Support with your order details—they’re usually quick to help with replacements if it’s a hardware issue.

Hi, thank you for responding but I fixed it! The issue was a hardware issue so I had to replace the old broken button/switch by using one of my other mice. But my only suggestion is hopefully Glorious have resolved this problem as I feel bad to those who will encounter this and don’t know how to replace the switches and for those who are experiencing this problem one thing you can try to check if it’s broken is by going to the glorious software and changing it’s bind to “battery status check”. But thank you Glorious for their fast and clear customer support!
