GMMK3 causes BSOD

Hello!

I bought a custom GMMK3 keyboard and since then my computer randomly BSOD when either idle or gaming and ALWAYS when I do a system scan through my antivirus.

I have changed RAM, Reinstalled Windows and even rolled back to windows 10.

I have tried SFC /Scannow, Memory diagnostics and been doing troubleshoots for a week now.
What I have found out is that if I unplug my GMMK3 completely all issues vanishes… System scan works and no BSOD anymore… Is it my BIOS thats the issue or is my Hardware not compatible??

I run an Aorus z490 Master MB with an intel Core i9-10900K 10 core with 64 GB 3600Mhz RAM.
The RAM is brand new. Talking 2 weeks and done tests several times to rule out faulty products.

Would love some help to fix this as I really love the GMMK3

I would recommend reaching out to Customer Support for troubleshooting tips.

i’m running a i9-10850 CPU with 64 GM of ram without issue on my GMMK 3, so your system is compatible.

Here are just some question, I have that might help point to an issue or for others to help;

  1. Are you using the supplied cable with the keyboard or a custom cable? Some times custom cables don’t transfer the power required for custom and or HE boards.
  2. Have you tried different USB ports on your motherboard (hoping not running off a USB hub)? You could have a faulty USB port or driver that is causing the error.
  3. What is your full systems specs, basically what is your GPU and PSU as we have the rest?
  4. What polling rate are you using? 1K, 4K or 8K
  5. Have you updated the firmware on the keyboard through Core?
  6. Have you tried with the RGB off on the keyboard to see if that makes a difference?
