Glorious Core seems really buggy

I am having issues getting Glorious Core to work reliable with my GMMK2. Can’t switch profiles or build custom layouts.

Is it just broken?

Hi and welcome @liquidvapour! Are you using CORE 2.0? There are several issues with 2.0 that are being worked on, so it’s better to use CORE v1 until a patch is released for 2.0 to fix the issues.

Core 2.0 looks so bad, lol. Like, who signed off on this mess.

Admittedly, CORE 2.0 has been a rough release. I feel like we have received a lot of feedback and constructive criticism on the initial launch that will help Glorious prioritize which features need some much needed attention. @Tempy has addressed some of this in the following thread, which I will link here.

@FapnNap if you have suggestions on features or improvements, I welcome you to head over to our CORE 2.0 thread and leave us feedback.

Many users have told you about the problem and you still can’t fix it I think it would be better to just uninstall the software and make VIA officially available

I am very disappointed that there is no official response or feedback from them, they just say they are aware of it.

To be fair, it’s pretty easy to make the GMMK Pro work with VIA - not sure about any of the other products, but at least with the board it’s possible without much real effort. Sure, having it work out of the box would be nice, but at the same time, I think most of the audience they attract isn’t going to want to spend time doing that and would prefer to just have software that works.

my model d mouse will not connect to v1 or v2 software i’ve ran the software as administrator and nothing seems to work its very annoying.

I would recommend reaching out to Glorious Support if you haven’t already @Bonk. That’s going to be the fastest and most reliable way to get the issue solved.

Core hasn’t detected my GMMK Pro in about a month or so. It’ll detect my I2 and numpad but the actual keyboard doesn’t show anymore. Haven’t updated to 2.0 due to all the issues.

As @8-Bit_Bootcamp mentioned, support should be able to help you out. I friend of mine also had a Pro that wasn’t ever recognized by the software. I had him do a factory reset on the board and bingo bango he was in business. Hoping you can get your issue resolved. It’s never fun when you can’t make desired updates.

It’s been almost half a year since the creation of this thread, and the software is still completely unusable. How was it even released in that state?

What does this even mean? Feedback on what? This isn’t a matter of subjective UI decisions and feature requests. The software is just utterly broken. You shouldn’t need user feedback to avoid that.

It’s a shame because Glorious products are amazing in terms of hardware quality. But completely hobbled by the software. Clearly, the software engineering department isn’t held to the same standards and QA rigor that the hardware engineering department is. It’s as simple as that. Don’t make excuses. There’s my user feedback, hopefully the root cause of all this is fixed soon.

It wouldn’t even be as big a deal as it is, except for the fact that even V1 of the software is still broken in many ways, just less then V2.
